On 2 October Mr. Dick van Zanten and Mr. Jacques Snep, both board members of the Hendrick Hamel foundation from the Netherlands gave a presentation about their plans for erecting a Hamel house in Gorkum and to make a movie about the life of Hendrick Hamel. Also attending was the mayor of Gorkum mr. IJssels. At the end of the evening the guests got the opportunity to enjoy a wine tasting of the Hamel Wine Company.
